Zastel Interoperability Concept
Zastel provides smart collaborative environment, connecting people, things and diverse systems/applications without the need of additional development and integration difficulties. The platform receives events from various sources, analyses them and generates appropriate actions according to the semantic and collaboration rules.
Enterprise1 collaborates with Enterprise2 via Zastel. Users, situated nearby Enterprise1's Things send information to the platform. Zastel notifies both Enterprises of the events that have occurred providing them both an ability to take appropriate actions.
Data processing and normalization
Zastel operates on a cloud infrastructure and provides tools required to allow your application to easily gather context information from ΙοΤ devices coming from different sources with varying formats and structures. Data needs to be preprocessed to handle missing data, remove redundancies and integrate data from different sources into a unified schema before being committed to storage.
Data collection, storage and processing
This service handles the efficient storage and organization of data as well as the continuous update of data with new information as it becomes available. Processing involves the ongoing retrieval of data in order to gain valuable insights.

IoT devices generate sensitive information, which they transmit using special protocols to gateways and then over the Internet. Zastel incorporates security components to insure authentication, access management and data loss prevention.
